TWO MISSISSIPPI MUSEUMS
A Cultural and Educational Hub
The Two Mississippi Museums—The Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum—are a cultural and educational hub in the heart of Jackson, Mississippi. Operated by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, they connect lifelong learners of all ages with Mississippi’s stories through state-of-the-art permanent galleries, public programs, and special exhibits.
The Foundation for Mississippi History, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supporting MDAH’s projects and programs, bolsters this work through fundraising efforts that help the museums grow, elevate their programs, and create free entry opportunities for students and the greater community.
